This puzzle appeared in the 1990s video game the “The 11th Hour” and was mentioned by the mathematician June Huh in his interview after receiving the Fields Medal. Huh himself had tried for a week to solve it and almost gave up. But then he had a wonderful realization on how to solve the puzzle.
